Default Just an intro

Well I am sure some of you have already read my post in the newbie forum...

If not here is the link to my post https://mustangforums.com/m_2414085/tm.htm

Just thought I should post a little about my car here since I forsee myself spending alot of time here...

I just purchased a 1965 Notchback that needs some restoration (pics in the other post)... It was originally a 6 cyl with a manual trans but was converted to a 302 with an automatic. Rear end was changed as well as the front springs and shocks... Other than that the car is now the was it was then.

I am looking to just make this a good street car, nothing major but enough power that when that guy pulls next to me in that little honda that I could make him cry, lol... I do plan on going back to the manual trans.

Looks wise I plan on having a very stock look with maybe some wheels and tires and under hood dressed up, no flashy interior or paint.

Well that is really what I plan to do with my 65 and look forward to any and all help and such you guys can provide me.

Welcome unforgiven,

First i would read the faq regarding the v8 conversion to check that everthing that needed to be done has been done, it sound like most stuff has been done but has the transmission be changed? it sounds like it but that would be my first plan.

Welcome to the classic section. On here, we call the "notchback" a fastback. They call them notchbacks for the fox bodies.

Thanks for the correction Soaring. I will remember the terms.. This my first stang, all I have owned has been Crown Vics so I am not very well versed in the world of the Mustang.

I will check out the FAQ on the conversion.

Ok , All of you in classic mustang land, a coupe is now officially a notch.
So, from now on, I can officially bitch slap you if you don't refer to a coupe as a notch.
