WISH I COULD FIND SOMEONE LIKE THAT HERE IN SO. CAL. ID LIKE TO DO THE WORK MYSELF BUT DONT KNOW ANYONE WHO DOES THE WORK. IM GOING FOR THE SAME LOOK AS YOU. SAME HOOD. SAME DECK LID CEPT MINE IS A 65. I SAVED THE BODY WORK FOR LAST THOUGH BECAUSE ITS ONLY THING I DONT KNOW HOW TO DO. I BUILT THE 302, INSTALLED AN AOD, CURRIE 9 INCH W/ DETROIT LOCKER 4.11'S, AND COMPLETELY REBUILT FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION. THE ONLT THING THAT IS NOT NEW IS THE STEERING BOX. NOW TIME FOR PAINT AND BODY WHEN I FIND SOMEONE

hey i would take some pics since we are doing the same thing but im not at home. my deck lid fits on perfectly...if i was you...i would try to raise the hinges a bit maybe??? or possibly take a bit off the fiberglass underneath? or even tap down the metal...or cut and tap ot down in the corner and weld a little patch of metal in there. might need a combo of all of them to make it work. and yes, fiberglass is just crap fit-wise....

I lowered the hinges and the corners are OK. There is a dip in the middle along the edge closest to the window. My hood is also wavy along the sides. Can a guy wet the glass then clamp it between two pieces of angle and wait for it to dry. Will it straighten the fiberglass?
