Default Should i buy this nice looking rust bucket?

Hello everone. been lurking on the forum for months. My name is Nick
So here is the deal. Im 19 years old, been looking at 65- and 66 mustangs for over a year and a half. Seen alot, driven alot, put an offer in once for a car, got outbid. Found this car a few weeks ago, looks real good from 5 feet. its a 65-66 mut. 289 auto, bucket seat, the interior isnt original but its VERY nice. underneath however, bad bad rust, basicaly entire floor covered wtih some por 15 like substance. The owner told me the cowls leak when he washes. And there was even some rust that had crept threw on the frame in the front. Paint is a maaco job but still looks good, but i saw a few minor bubble spots. He has dropped his asking from like 7000 to 5200 as of now. should i go in an ask him 4000 for it. be a nice car to drive for a while but will probably get worse with time in a few years. What do you all say? Too much rust and is a bust? or for 4000 go for it? sry no picutres of the rust damage, on my other camera. looks like she has been a michigan car all her life and left to the elements. Just want to get your guys' thoughts. Thanks all.

get some pics of the rust damage. the cowl and frame are big jobs to fix, the flors are common, but still, if its as bad as you say, i dont know. how much?

thanks for the quick response. Yeah the filler underneath was everywhere upfront. Never seen it like that on any stang before. But what got me the most was how the rust had gotten to the frame which makes me suspect there is lots more to be found. Ill try to get those pics upsometime tmrw.

well if it was a michigan car its whole life, it might have been sprayed with some stuff to keep rust out. when i lived in detroit we got our cars sprayed so the salt and ice wouldnt **** up the car

i drove her, ran fine, even has some power steering, but man sure felt like same old manual to me. the engine is very clean inside, has a minor electrical issue causing the battery to drain. but i consider that "minor" stuff. but the owner has tried for a few months to fix it but to no avail.
