I'm using a March crank and water pump pulley and a Kaufmann Products alternator pulley on my '65 ... but it has a serpentine belt, probably not the info you're looking for, huh?

i've been toying over switching to serpentine over v belts when I build the 331. Are the march pullies underdrive, do you know the size difference. I've been looking at them and you can use them for either V-belt or serpentine correct.?.?.?

[sm=closed.gif] Answered my own question by using my favorite internet search tool. Does that make me a tool? YES

I'm using a March crank pulley and stock pulleys elsewhere. The power steering pump pulley is next on my list.

It simply means the pulleys will reduce the RPM of the components when compared to the factory pulleys.

Pulleys are pretty simple to determine RPM. If you have a 6 inch crank pulley and a 3 inch alternator pulley, the alternator will turn 2x the crank speed. If you drop the crank to 5 inches, the alternator will turn 1.67x the crank speed, or about 17% underdrive.
