It's about time Advance Auto hired someone with a little common wrenching sense. The only dealings I have had with Advance guys was if the cash register or computer didn't answer the question, then they had no clue.

ORIGINAL: dcohen

i got a 66 straight six with an auto trans for 450, pretty solid body
66, I6, cracked exhaust manifold, leaky trans line, oil leak, accident damage, rust gallore, shoddy yet original interior, cracked windshield and leaky rear window, 1000 green backs. []

I still need to replace the exhaust mani and get the bolts drilled and tapped cause I broke them off while trying to remove the mani. trans line is JB Welded so it's good, just need to toss in a QT of Lucas, rust damage, I don't wanna go there. Basically, I need a garage, big air compressor and TONS of hand/pnumatic tools!

Good luck with the new find. I too applied at my local Advance (since I know about 50x more then a few of the tools that work there), but haven't heard squat from them.

"Just Trow it in the back." You sound like a coonass. My favorite people. I am going to be Cajun deep frying a turkey for Christmas. Best turkey you can eat......
