Default Engine Swap

I have a 65 coupe that I picked up as a roller. It was a 6 cyl. car. I would like to put a late model 5.0 in with a 5 or 6 speed trany. I am looking for sugestions or any other help you can provide

hey why not put a really good 6 banger in there, like a ford australia 4.0 turbo- now that would be cool.

If your gonna go threw all the trouble to put a V6 in why not just buy this 370 and have some real fun without cutting anything.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/600HP...mZ300063067792

oh god no it's a straight 6, v6's are not even worth talking about they are crap. Straights are much much better, ford australia/new zealand doesn't make any v6's, and all our v8's are 5.4 dohc, not 4.6.
it's easy enough to see that it's an L6 from the pic lol.

there's a lot of things you can do to make those old 255 6's fast these days too. i would look into it.

don't do it. I tried throwing a 302 into my 65 i6 coupe and it was a disaster. we're selling it next week for parts cuz it was too rusted and not worht it. we just picked up an original 289 car which will be a lot easier and financially sound
