Default Catalog Ordering?

I am ordering some parts for my 67 coupe and I would like to hear your oppinions about what companies to use.

I have been looking online and in catalogs and prices vary as one would expect but what is the difference in quality? Who has the best parts and best reputation for accurate fitting of body pieces?

thanks

You've got one of the Nation's largest Catalog sellers (National Parts Depot) down the road in Ocola. It's worth the drive to go touch the stock and make sure you get what you want.....

Depends on where your located for shipping but I like www.cjponyparts.com. I have ordered from them with no problems and am very satisfied with what I got!!

Mustangs Plus, NPD, CJ, Mustangs Unlimited, Tony D. Branda...all have been excellent to work with and great quality parts. In the old days, California Mustang got the bulk of my resto money.

Mustangs Unlimited provided me with quality parts and the fastest shipping I have ever seen.

Dallas mustangs has good customer service, but JamesW is right, if you have a shop down the road, save yourseldf the shipping costs.

Most of the parts come from the same suppliers, so quality should not vary too much.

Have fun!

Depending on where you are, it's a trade off between shipping cost and local taxes.

I live 10 miles from Texas Mustang Parts, and 2 miles from 50Resto.... the advantage is to go touch, discuss, and come away with what you want...that day.

NPD or Mustangs Unlimited, both have been great to me. Depending on what you are looking for, Total Control Products was also good.

Nice suggestions, many of which i have the catalogs for or online links saved.

Another question...is it better to use original tooling metal? or is the aftermarket body work ok? Does it fit ok? is it strong enough?

what did you guys use?

Buy original Ford tooled sheetmetal if you can afford it. I'd even go find old fenders and doors off old cars before buying replacements.

My car was rebuild before I got it using Taiwanese repop doors and fenders... and they fit awful!!!
