FOMOCO. Cant beat original, but if you cant find original, NPD got most of my money, and they always came through. Even when I ordered the wrong part, no problem taking it back for another...

npd is over priced on a lot of stuff imo i like them alright, but i prefer to order out of state to avoid the taxes and in your case www.mustangsunlimited.com is in ga and has good customer service great parts and fast shipping

+1 on being able to touch parts. Even though I am an hour away, I still drive to NPD to pick up parts that might cause issues when I instal them.

On a side note - just because it says Ford Tooling does not insure propper fit. I know this first hand. In alot of cases, the tooling is 40+ years old. That in itself is worn out. So, you're getting a 40 yr old tooled piece of <insert whatever you bought>. The dash I just installed wasn't even remotely close. The holes were a good 1/4" off, the studs that get the lock nut *behind the dash* were so poorly done, one pulled out of the foam with verry little resistance. ( I was removing the dash pad after test fit, I hardly even tweaked it and it pulled out.

So, don't just assume because it says Original Tooling that it's the end all fit.

It depends on where you live. Since you live near NPD, then you are a lucky one. We Texas guys use DallasMustang and TexasMustang for our parts because the shipping is less. However, there are certain parts we can't get, so have to go to NPD to get those.

I only live in Florida about 8 months out of the year. The car is actually at my parents house in Maryland.

To those who have had problems with original tooling parts, would you say its not worth the extra money, which is in some cases double, or would you still reccomend the stronger metal?

Mustangs Unlimited sent me a coupon code for 10% off too...so sales always help some

Mustangs Unlimited provided me with quality parts and the fastest shipping I have ever seen.

Dallas mustangs has good customer service, but JamesW is right, if you have a shop down the road, save yourseldf the shipping costs.

Most of the parts come from the same suppliers, so quality should not vary too much.

Have fun!

i am so glad dallas mustang is only a 25 minutes drive(speed limit drive) from my house, definently go to a near store and order there, chances are, ordering from a cheaper online store will be about the same after shipping

nobody said http://www.laurelmountainmustang.com/

They have the best bang for the buck on the suspenison handling kits.
sway bars, coils, upper and lower control arms, idler arm, steering tie rods, and rear leaf springs, monte carloe bar or export brace, and all four shocks (KYB gas ) for about 750ish. they are out of PA. it was 950 with shipping and tax.....still cheaper then cailfornia mustang or mustang plus, mustang depot.

I have used NPD, they have 3 locations. So mine is about 2 hours away. So i just go to the beach and pick up parts

lets see, there is another one that no one on here has talked about or ever mentioned, MACs Auto Parts out of NY. I bought my chrome shock tower caps from them. And it was still cheaper including shipping to get it out here in so cal, then if i ordered it from Cal Mustang and picked it up [:-]

Just shop around. Sometimes they vary on the price.

Cal mustang and NPD got most of my money....now i can add laurel mountian mustang too that list....[]

For stock parts I like CJ Pony Parts. For restomodding parts Mustang Plus. And for miscellaneous parts I go to JC Whitney or Summit Racing. NPD is overpriced in my opinion.
