Default C4 transmission pump

So i got a c4 transmission built with a rebuilt torque convertor and have been trying to get it to work. I put it on the car and it would not go into gear. what i found is that my pump is not pumping any fluid. I have read that if you dont get the torque convertor in far enough(3 clicks)that it could ruin the pump. so i pulled the tranny off and i put it back together... It tooke me 3 clicks ( slide the convertor on, twist, slide on further, twist, slide on further) to get it on and i didnt have to force anything. Nor did i force anything the first time i put it on. So my question is where do i go from here... Where exactly is the pump in the tranny? And how could i tell if its the pump that is bad? ANY suggestions would be helpful. I am getting zero circulation of the fluid... I disconected the line between the transmission and the radiator to check it. and no fluid came out when the car was on and it was in gear.

PS Is therea differenc between how a 141 tooth c4 and a 157 tooth C4 is built besides the torque convertor and the bell housing?

Thanks
Eric

The pump is in front, right behind the torque converter.

There is a cylindrical shaped part near the rear passenger side of the pan. It has electrical wires comeing from it. I dont no where to connect these wires. If these wires are disconnected could it cause the pump to not pump?? Also should i and could i remove to pump from the tranny. Could i be able to tell if the pump is bad??

THanks
Eric
