Default Transmission Sealer????????

Was in auto parts store the other day and saw a can of some kind of miracle goop that they claimed would stop minor transmission leaks. All you do is pour it in. Ever hear of that ?

There are several products like that on the market most are just snake oil. If the trans leaks it needs service or an overhaul.

That's what I figured. The more threads I read the more I'm becoming convinced to do all repairs myself that I can possibly do.

+1 Thebiggest leak maker is the tranny pan, which gets replaced with any tranny service. The rear seal and speedo o-ring are also simple replacements.

Keep in mind your auto has a lot of internal seals, too. These snake-oil treatments swell the rubber which can cause your tranny to stop working.
