STOCK S CODE OR ELEANOR
OK BOYS AND GENTS LETS HAVE IT,WHAT TO DO WITH MY S CODE.ALL ORIGINAL OR ELEANOR CLONE.NOT MANY ELEANOR CLONES ARE S CODES.ITS BEING RESTORED CURRENTLY AND I NEED TO MAKE UP MY MIND.THE CAR IS NOT FOR RESALE BUT VALUE IS ALWAYS IMPORTANT.ELEANOR CLONES DO SEEM TO BE GETTING SOME LARGE DOLLARS OUT THERE.
Syncon - please, please, PLEASE... AAARRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhh...............
I love the looks of the Eleanor but DON'T take an original S code and do that to it.Those are plastic pieces that end up making a car that after a few years everyone will be saying "What was ITHINKING?!?!?!" Of course it's your car but the value of S codes will just continue to climb. If it is a GT then even better for you to keep it original. Did you do a Marti report on it? Did you have him research how many cars were made just like yours?? Mine is 1 of 38 - glad I found that out before I hacked into it and made it into something else.
If your car started out life as just a shell and no other parts then I could understand it but if you have the original motor/trans/rear end then you'll be destroying a neat piece of history. Not many will be left when the smoke clears from the excitement of Eleanors. Heck I'd own one too but don't do that to an S code. Just my two very **** cents... ;-)
At least paint it original and if that is too bland then you can put some racing stripes on it to spruce it up or ?...

When I was in high school, this was "the look". Tires out the back, sidepipes, Mickey Thompsons, ET slots.....
