The available engines for '67 were the 200, the 289 (2v and 4v), and the 390. I say go with the 390. What did the car come with originally (check VIN)?

I would go 390. Parts maybe hard to come by though.

For non stock, I would start with a 351W hands down. About the size of the 289/302 and plenty of performance parts.

351w STROKED TO A 408. lighter and after market parts are plentyful

I agree a 390 stroked to a 428.looks original .The parts can be a little hard to find but you will have a real power plant to play with.Just be sure to tie your frame up,these motors can twist a car fast if you run a sticky tire.finding the parts is part of the fun.

ive been lookin at a site lately and it makes a 3 valve cleveland head but has passages for windsor so you can easily make a clevor. these things make big power and are about 100 bucks more than afr heads.
