Yep Brandon that is a pic of a 2007 Saleen / Parnelli Jones 302 number 39 of 500 delivered 12/2. You can see the rest of it at my gallery including a picture of the orignal 1970 Boss 302 PJ racer.

colorado i thought i heard somewhere the 427's had wrist pins that intersected the oil ring and as such they were more prone to burn oil?

but i have seen larger kits than that even..... i just hear alot about the 408's being a sweet combination of parts

Newer pistons don't have the wring/pin problem. Some cheaper models still will, but pay a little more for a better piston.

Anyone that doesn't think 500hp from a 302 isn't possible hasn't looked at too many dyno charts.

also a 4.6/5.4 is nowhere near a bolt in deal. It might be easier to just cut the entire front end off and start over.

all you need is a lil more that 300 rwhp to get ANY motor into the 11's....suspension and driver mean everything!!! I did it with 311 rwhp on a 100% stock longblock.(03 mach 1)
