Be prepeared for lots of spray foam! I can take the loud systems, but it's the rattling of body panels that makes my teeth clinch. It may sound good on the inside, but it sounds like S@#* on the outside. And if it's head's you are trying to turn as well as a killer system, turn the heads for the right reason!

Please do not waste your money on inferior mids and highs. The money you waste on the rear speakers could provide you with much better front stage.

Any reputable car audio shop will tell you a 2 way component set (separate mid and tweeter) is superior to a coaxial setup. The crossovers are better and the actual drivers are better.

If you care anything about looks of the installion, buy two of the same series and brand of amp. A rockford 2 channel would work great on a comp set in the front, and if you are to stubborn to listen, a rockford 4 channel would work great too.

I just did the Pioneer deck ( mp3 capable ) w/ 2 6x9 jbl's in back in a raised package tray w/ 2 6" Eclipse 2 ways in the front kickers. No amps, no subs, just good clean sound. I spent about 5 bones on it all, including mounting and all hardware needed.

I've used jbl stuff for several years now and it's never did me wrong. I even replaced the oem speakers in my DD truck with jblss.

How is the rest of your electric system doing w/o an amp? Are your headlights dim or anything like that?

No notable difference. Even at idle.

PPI and Orion is great stuff. What I would do for some art series PPI's for my mustang when I do the mustang.

Thats why I still have them, Two 2150 and a 2050 with a PPI eq. And a pair of OZ 12s, a pair or MBquarts for the front and 4 orion mids. All sitting in the basement until I do something with it...Oh ya, and a competition Kicker SS12box with Solobaric subs for a fox style mustang..
