Default Lets talk details

If a car is a matching numbers car what numbers will actually match and what numbers will be simple part numbers. If you have an engine block that is C8OE-6015A with a small number above this which I assume is a production date that reads 8C13. Then when was the engine produced ? what numbers should match this number

numbers matching means the vehicle VIN is stamped on the block and transmission.

And that ain't gonna happen with early Mustangs. I get amused with EBay advertisements for a 1966 something Mustang that has matching numbers. Yeah, right.
