Ahh! still 500 dollars for me! []
ill just buy some dynomax mufflers and reuse my old tubes
According to the website, the 67-70 would be $446.48 for the 3" kit(p/n 15819)and $348.78 for the 2-1/2" kit (p/n 15816).

Either way, those are smoking prices.

So how about the difference between the Flowmaster 40's, Delta Flow 40s and Super 40s. I listen to all the files and don't hear that much different. I know the Delta flows are supposed to be quietter. I don't mind the louder noise, which one would make the most performance?

I prefer Magnaflow over Flowmaster. I prefer any straight through muffler design, as well.

Not to be an @$$, but those look like Windsor heads on that engine? And, why is your fuel line going around behind your engine?

That's not being an @$$. Being an @$$ would be asking why the air cleaner is about 1" less diameter than the housing.

If you do a search on this board, you'll find a link for a Magnaflow kit for about $350 delivered. I know it is still in effect as mine is scheduled for delivery Thursday.
Yes, thanks to Chillin', I bought them too some time ago, here's the thread:

https://mustangforums.com/m_2177354/tm.htm

For anybody who wants to buy them, type the word...EBAYROCKS...on the special cupon order, and you'll get them even cheaper.

BTW, they turned out awesome, definitely not super obnoxious loud like Flowmasters, more of a deep cool sound, perfect.

i want my exhaust to sound like this

http://www.magnaflow.com/04sound/domestic/shelbyl.htm

is this the kind of mellow tone your talking about mojoe?

i have full length super comp hookers for my headers
more or less....i'd be curious to know what the tubing I.D. is on that shelby though...it sounds like it has smaller 2 1/4" tubing...usually with 2 1/2" or 3" piping through the center of the exhaust system, the tone is a little deeper than that (could just be the recording quality tho).

and fastback....as far as staying with magnaflows...unless you're planning on a cam and some more engine mods, I would stick with the magnaflows for now...even if you get headers....you'll be happy with them.
[8D]i have a mild lunati cam with a weiand single plane intake, and super comp full lengthhookers

what would be the best non droning sound muffler?

Did you install them yourself or take it to a shop? Because I'm going to have to have some pipe bent and welded to hook up to the JBA mid-length headers, I was thinking of just taking the whole box down to the exhaust shop with the car and saying have at it. Doing it in the driveway just seems like the hassle factor outweighs any of the fun. Your thoughts and experience on the install? Oh yeah, did you use the turn downs that exit just in front of the valence or ... ?
