Default What year is this?

Can anyone tell me what year this Mustang is? My guess is close to a 66 but I'm not sure, and to be truthful I don't know as much about older Mustangs as you guys..

Here's two pics..they arent really great because I took them with a cell phone but they are the best I've got right now..

I also have the little metal plate that goes on the door, but I havent looked at it much.. I know it doesnt say the year, but is there something on there that might give it away? I tried looking at the VIN number too, but couldnt at the time..

It is either a 65 or 66. It doesn't matter that much on the fastbacks because they are very close to the same.

From the pics you have, it appears to be a 65' but it's hard to tell. Give us all the numbers on the door plate you found. We may be able to help more there.

On that junk yard POS it may not have a door plate. The fender apron should have it though.

yeah, the main thing that was throwing me off was the taillights.. I don't know a lot about older Mustangs though.. This isn't mine, but I could probably get it close to free or pretty cheap.. I don't have the money to fix it up though, and would like to give it to someone that could and would.. It needs so much time and money though, im not sure it its worth it.. Ill be back in about 10 min or so with the numbers on that plate..

Well, if it's a 65 or 66....someone really did a number on the rear by putting on some crappy looking tail lights off of God knows what and a bumper froma '54 Buick.

I live in TX, but the door plate says:
Body: 63A
Color: H
Trim: 22
Date: 03J
DSO: 64
Axle: 6
Trans: 6
and the vehicle warranty number:
3R09C134248
