welding/air tool gurus
okay so a dual option welder, that's a can do, didn't google enough to know they even sold those. I'll check on hobart in a bit. [edit] okay looks like hobart it is, list price is about 500 for the one I'll probably get, do you know who sells em?
As far as the compressor, I understand that bigger is better, but with the ammount of time I'll have any given day to even do a project I was thinking of say sanding a pannel a week. would that work or should I still get a bigger one?

Get the bigger one! You will be sanding about five minutes, then waiting for the tank to fill, then sand anotherfive minutes, and so on. You will end up burning the motor. Either get a bigger one, use chemical, or try a heat gun.
I was stripping the remnants of my cowl last night and for ***** and giggles I pulled out the heat gun and a putty knife and it worked ok.

The bigger the air compressor, the less it will have to cycle before you can have full power again. However, there comes a time when we just have to say enough is enough. If you have the time and are not in a hurry, then settle for what you can afford.
