Default Liquid Sound Deadner

Anyone use anything like Lizzard Skin? Is there anything that may be cheaper that I'm not finding? I'd don't really want to buy the spray gun and then a compressor to run it, but I guess that if I have to I will.

Suggestions?

Does it need to be liquid?

Dynomat is a popular sound deadener, an alternative to that is the much cheaper "peel & seal" which is actually a roofing material.

As far as liquid, you could also try some roll on bed liner, I have heard of others using it with good results.

Also, a compressor is a good investment espicially if your doing a restoration.

Like Deebo said, a compressor is probably something that you're going to need so might as well buy one. Here's a website I thought might help you out a little.

If you have the money, go ahead and buy a compressor. If this is going to be a full scale restoration, you will be glad you have it when you hit the bolt from hell. I have used the peel and seal stuff in the trunk of my 98 mustang and it was pretty good. Those models are noisy all over, but it was mostly to help the SPL of my sub. I plan on using Dynamat on my 67 when that time comes. I haven't read much on the lizard skin actually...

i ran into a guy that used it on the bottom of his chevelle and it looked nice and he said it did lower the interior noise.... he said it took about 2 buckets to do the car and that and the gun was like 350.00 shipped to his door. after seeing his car i thinking about useing it on mine, alittle expensive but he said it was worth it.

For that much you could do Dynamat and be much more effective...
