ERRR timing cover HELP

Default ERRR timing cover HELP

how in the hell am i supposed to get this thing back on! ive been trying for 3 hours. the only thing i havnt tried is taking loosening some of the oil pan bolts but im trying to avoid that. ugh so frustrating, how else can this thing get on![:@][:@][:@][:@][:@]

You know that extra piece of gasket material that looks like the front of the oil pan? Guess what...you have to cut off the old piece without dropping it in the pan and loosen the pan a little to center the dampener shaft within the new timing cover front seal or it will leak there as well. Tighten the cover bolts first, then the front pan bolts. Don't forget gorilla snot on the corners of the new rubber seal that touches the pan semi-circle. You did get a new timing cover gasket set didn't you?

yea i got the new gasket set, so i gotta loosen the oil pan, well got something to do tomarrow now

i did take the old gasket out already btw
