I finally got the new clutch, starter, and flywheel in my 67. I was never able to start it because of the shot flywheel and starter. When crank it, it only runs as log as the starter fluid burns and then shuts off. I thought there was no gas getting to the carb so i disconected the fuel line from the carb and try cranking it again. Plenty of gas came of the line so now im really confused. I also thought it could of been vacuum lines but they are all connected. Any advice would really help. Its a 351 by the way.
Like Groho said, its your needle valve stuck. If it runs when you pour gas in it and there is gas coming out of the fuel line, then obviously there is no gas in the carburator. The needle valve would cause that
Thanks for the replies. I'll take a look at the carb after school tomorrow and see what i can find. The carb is a Autolite 4100 (c5zf-L) and hopefully not a pain to rebuild.
