Default fuel pump

I was just wondering if someone could enlighten me about how difficult it is to replace a fuel pump in my '67. I think that it's causing problems with both power and the start-up. Today, for the first time in the past week/ 1000miles the engine will start, I let it run and boom it just shut off after driving about 30 ft. I need help. Thanks guys

It's very easy to replace the mechanical fuel pump. Just take the hose off, take out the two bolts and pull the old one out. Reverse the process to put the new one in. Make sure the pump arm is under the cam. Here is a little more detailed guide.

Change the fuel filter too if you haven't already. Only cost a couple bucks and a couple minutes of your time.
