well at least its not the gears, that'll save you some cash, and the rebuild kits aren't that much, good luck to both of you!

ya i have almost the same type of thing going on with mine. i took it to someone locally who specializes in Mustangs and he said it was probably a bearing going bad.

Stop driving it.... if a bearing goes bad and seizes on you then you risk more then breaking down, you risk more dmg and more dmgequalsmoremoney and if you are a poor college student like me then you probably don't want to be spending more money then you need to be spending. This is my DD so bumming rides off my parents SUCKS, I'm looking in to getting something else for a dd though.

dont worry, im not driving it at all really. im re-doing the brakes and when i do that im going to change the bearings. and im not a poor college student...im a uber poor high school student who needs to get a job lol.

I forgot to give an update, it was the Pinion bearing and I replaced all of them at the same time so now I should be good for awhile...... I adjusted the 3rd member before I put it back in and it still whines but I herd that some do that no matter what so oh well. So its fixed for now and its time to move on to the next problem.
