Default 260 v8 pistons

Hi guys,

I wonder if any of you could help me out. I'm going to rebuild the 260 v8 in my 'stang over here in the UK, and I'm trying to locate new pistons for this engine. I'd really like to fit high compression pistons (flat top) if I can, so that I've got more options with aftermarket heads to liven things up a little.

Are high compression pistons available for the 260? I'm having problems locating any, so any suggestions for a good place to buy them would be welcome.

Thanks for your help,

260dude

I not sure but You might be able to put 289 pistions in. It you can, you will have to bore it a lot. Not telling you to do it but maybe you can. I don't know.

your best bet is to contact the mfgs and see what they offer. Try to email TRW. You could also check into parts automotive wharehouse (PAW), they sell alot of internal engine parts.
