Default Tranny

I have a tranny leak on my stored car and I think it's pretty much dripped itself empty. The car was stored in late October and won't be brought back to life until the nice weather (April/May). With the tranny empty of fluid does this cause any harm to the vehicle while in storage??? My garage is not heated, but well protected from the harsh outdoors. I'm located just outside of Toronto. I just don't want to be out there in my tiny single car garage in the freezing cold fiddling with the tranny right now, I'd rather wait until spring. Opinions please????

Your tranny should be fine as everything inside will be coated with oil anyway ... ie., the valve body, springs, pump etc.. You'll just have to put a new filter in it when you look at it in the spring and of course fix your leak.
