Figured I would help you out a little with deciding on what to do with the trim.. Since I have carpal tunnel I cant do much with art stuff anymore, but heres a quick attempt at changing the chrome to paint.. I saved it at different points so you could see the difference in painting some and leaving others..

Just take them off the wheel lips.. its easier than painting them... Scoop inserts would be a good idea too.

you're welcome

dont black the whole hood do it like a boss 351 leave a little color around the edges(if u black the whole hood imo it looks like its a unpainted crash part) that way it looks original and u could also keep the chrome bumper but paint the fender moulding for the boss look

I like the top one, personally.

If you're going with a body color bumper, get the urethane (Mach I/'73) bumper. It'll look a lot better.

As for the hood, mine is a slight variation on the factory Mach I hood blackout. Mine goes into the chrome, while the factory curved it a couple inches before that trim piece.

Can this be done by just taping it off with Blue masking tape and semi gloss rustoleuming over a clearcoat? -Jon

well you would probably have to prep the surface first with a scuff pad and then use a wax and grease remover to get a really good surface for it to stick to
