Default Crossmember removal

I'm in the process of installing a complete new suspension kit. I got to removing the lower control arm on the passenger side and the bolt at the pivot point was installed from the backside. I cannot remove it as is because the crossmember is in the way. Can I simply drop the crossmember with the engine installed? If I do, are there any support requirements?

No I'm using a giant floor jack for this repair. Using the frame as a life point on that side. Why?
