Default so cool, tilt wheel

so today i was under my 68 dash and found a vacuum line just sitting there unhooked
beside it was a plug just sitting there
the plug looked like it fit a terminal near and the vacuum plugged right into a nipple beside it

i cranked the car
shut it down and when i opened the door the steering wheel jumped away
thats so cool
i read about these tilt wheels but didnt know mine had it
thats neat
of course it took me a few minutes to get the wheel back into the lock position so i could recrank it
gotta work on that part of it

Yeah, that was a pretty neat option back then, especially if you were tall and/or weight challenged.

MAN WHAT A SWEET SUPRISE!!! That is probably the neatest interior option on the early mustangs.
I sold a complete setup I had pieced together on Ebay because the rack and pinion setup I bought had a tilt column with it. I really hated selling it but the wife was REAL twisted about me spending over a grand for a R&P and front end setup. So in the name of marital bliss, I sold it.
Got 700.00 for it if I remember right.
Congratulations.

Because I cycle abit (1000km last year) my thighs hit the steering wheelalso as I am preparing for a long sea voyage (could do with losing a few kg) I think 64-66 were made for racing snakes
