Thought this looked like a decent buy.

Looks nice, not sure that I'd spend $8500 on it, might be worth 6k or so, I'd have to see it up close. You never know with these, the last one I looked at that said all the positives this one says had rust in the doors and rear quarters and the trunk was starting to go bad....

Let me know if you look at it and what you think. Might try to take a look when I'm up in Denver at the swap meet next weekend.

If its void of nasty rust, that makes it an excellent buy.

Yor are right, you never know. Actually, you do know, they are never as good as they sound or look in pictures. I am no Cougar expert but this looked like a very straight, clean car with lots of options and low miles. And let's face it, these days 8500 bucks isn't alot for a good clean car of this era. I will not be seeing the car as I am 3 hours away and what happens if it is a good buy? Do i really need a 6th car? Better if I stay away. I would like to know if it is a good buy though if you do happen to see it What swap meet are you coming up for?

Do you NEED a sixth car? Probably not. Do you WANT a sixth car? Probably. I would venture to say that a vast majority of the people on this web site actually NEED our classic cars about as much as we need a case of the clap. Life is short so what the hell...If you have the means and the desire, GET IT!!

36th Tri-State swap meet at the stock yard. Last year my oldest son and I went. For $20 I picked up 4 window cranks and a GT flip styly gas cap in excellent condition.
