Default UCA shims

Ok - just how much difference will/should there be on the upper control arm shims? I was checking mine today and they are not symmetrical in the amount of shims on the left side as compared to the rightside. Is this normal? or was that just the way things worked out when it came off the line at the factory ??

Default RE: UCA shims

as i understand it, the wheel alignment settings including the shims will be different on left and right hand side of the car. this is to take into account the camber on the road. if everything were set dead equal on both sides of the car, you would let go the wheel and the car would pull off the road to the right and head for the trees (or the apartment building or whatever)!!!
