it happens more then you think i live around a big airport here theres always unknown chunks of ice and other things falling from the sky. be happy it was a newer mustang not a classic

you may live close to a flight path than you think. Just because it's not in a departure/arrival corridor doesn't mean aircraft aren't at altitude above you. Things fall off all the time, especially off military aircraft... those things are older than many of our mustangs!
