RE: cougar
There was a white one here that drove nice, needed some interioir work (just uposltry work) and needed some work on the body... (somebody had done some shotty bondo repairs and a cheap paint job) but had very little rust... and everything was there. and all they wanted was like 1200. It was a 68 i believe with a small block 8. I didnt like it... If i did i would have def bout it

yea you may disagree with me, but the cougar was made as a upper class mustang, like a luxury vehicle, normal people buy mustangs,m rich guys buy cougars[8D]

You really think so?
The Cougar is nice but it just doesn't give me goose bumps like a stang.
I highly disagree with you.

very nice, cougars are basically the same as the mustang, just nicer

It doesn't matter if they are "upper class", so was Marie Antoniette, and look what happened to her.
If you really like the Cougar more, why not sell your stang and get one of them fancy "upper-class" rides?
Pretty much the same price as a stang coupe.
Mustang is waaaaaay better looking.
"Normal people buy Mustangs, rich guys buy Cougars" LOL, get the hell outta here...LOL! You cracked me up with that one.

RE: cougar
i dont think anyone is really trying to say they are "upper class rides and mustangs are for the peasants"....its just the cougar was aimed at a slightly higher price range...they all came with V8's.....etc.... its not like they are along the same lines of mercedes or something and i dont think anyone ever intended to imply that....

RE: cougar
Way back in the mid 70's, I bought a '67 Cougar to drive to the university to work on my Master's degree. That car was pretty much plain Jane with a 289 and a 3 speed manual. I think, if I remember correctly, is that it had power steering. That was about the only difference between the 67 Mustang without power steering and the Cat that I owned. So, to say it was a rich man's car is just lame. You could add any options on a 67 Mustang that you could get on a 67 Cat.
