i know a lot of companies have a "classic car insurance". im with allstate and they have one but i drove my car too much to use it. usually it pretty low rates but u have to bring proof that u have driven it to only car shows and less that 100 miles or something a month. my dad's good friend has it. says its awsome but he never drives it. says he is limited to a really low milage to drive per month and has to take it only to shows. not sure the details on it but might wanna check with companies

Hagersty's probably has the best classic policy, but it won't be insured for that amount.

I have seen Grundy collector car insurance advertised on "My Calssic Car" on the Speed Channel. They even had the owner of the compamy in for an interview. It seemed like a good deal.

MY 69 SS camaro insurance is thru American collectors (usaa) but there are milage limits as well as drivers age. My stangs are Hagertys must be 18, But there arelimits too most of these companys and normally you agree on a certain value based on year condition and etc. Higher milage limit with Hagerty. Some of there limits include: must have another vehicle as daily driver not driven to work or school which most of these companies have and so on. Have never checked with Grundys though.

+1 Hagerty
www.hagerty.com

Actually, they will let you insure a vehicle for whatever amount you want and the premium you pay is based on that amount. However, if there is a loss, you will probably be required to prove that the car was worth that amount through a recent appraisal or receipts. They do limit the mileage though. Doesn't hurt to check them out though.

Yeah never had a problem as far as value is concerned. I keep a file with receipts and pictures on each car I own. Helps if there is a problem at a later date.
