Default RE: Soft Brake Pedal

Good advice all around. I recently flushed the old brake fluid out of my wife's 68 after replacing the rubber brake hoses and had a soft pedal that would firm up when pumped. The next morning I could see where one of the wheel cylinders had been leaking. I replaced that wheel cylinder and rebled the brakes. The pedal is solid now.

From what I have seen the disc nor drums are leaking. But I do believe that the left front rubber line has been replaced. So maybe it is time to change them all. But before I do that I will do the 5 minute pedal test to see if there are any leaks that I don't know about. Plus I will rebleed just to see if it helps. Thanks for all the help.

is possible that it has nothing to do at all with your lines or air in the lines. the brakes could just be worn out. Even if you make adjustments in this situation you are still gonna get play in the pedal. I advise in making sure your fluid level stays constant, and bleed the brakes again just to make sure.
