Default priming the 68 this weekend.

Well, I went to a paint supplier today. Here is what I got. It is all PPG

[ol][*]2 5/8" X 11" sanding block[*]1 quart cups[*]spray gun filters[*]light gray epoxy primer[*]epoxy primer catalyst[*]medium temp reducer[*]acryl-clean wax and grease remover(for the fiberglass)[*]metal conditioner[*]metal cleaner[*]prima acryl ure primer surfacer[*]primer surface catalyst[/ol]All for the tune of $332.10 with my company discount. Crap this stuff is expensive. The guy said the base paint and clear should run under $500.

Am I missing anything?

It's all brand name stuff. I know it's going to cost a lot, I'm just gripeing. I figure around $1,000 and I may be able to do it for less with the discount I did forget to by the guide coat though[:@]

I wonder if spray paint may make the final paint react in a negative way? The primer is epoxy and I think spray paint is too. So I guess I shouldn't have anything to worry about.

BE CAREFUL with lacquor bombs, can cause trouble. May be OK if you use as a guide and completely remove.I think PPG is on top of the heap. Ask your supplier what bomb can he recomends for for toutch up if you get into the metal. Other items, mask(OSHA type for paint), rubber gloves, tyvekjump suite, measuring sticks, lacquor thinner for cleanup (2 gallons), 3m green masking tape, paper, better luck than I have.Hey "R model" How does "Shopline" spray and holdup? We used to have a PPG at our local auto store, loved it,but they went cheapandswitched to Western or something like that. Smells more like my wifes cooking than paint. It last about 2 years before it starts peeling!
