gumballer,
I may be more curious then interested, but I would like to hear more about your plan. I have a job that allows me some free time, and I know enough about the classic Mustangs to know a good deal from a dud.
I live in North Idaho, but Seattle is only 6 hours from here. I guess that would be the most logical place to ship the cars from.
Anyway, please pm me if interested.

I'm interested. Hell I will quit my job tomorrow. I am an ASE cert mechanic, got ALL the tools known to mankind for fixing cars. You buy the cars, I restore them. Simple

Yeah, but as an ASE certified mechanic, your 75 + bux per hour charge may not be what he is looking for. I think he is more interested in someone who will do the work for free or at least not a rip in the drawers like you frigging mechanics charge.

not to hijack a thread but...... the car is a 98 saturn, 170,000 miles. And has burned oil the last 20k. It cranks fine, and we have spark going to the spark plugs. Tried spraying ether (sp?) into the cylinders but it doesnt help. and I could swear i hear 1 cylinder firing. Since we sprayed ether into the cylinders i dont get why we didnt get a sputter... because we know we have spark. I am assuming we dont have compression... blown head gasket or timing. Havent done a compression check... the car is outside and its like -20 out... so its hard to spend a great length of time working on it until you are frozen.

btw.... i think we need to get as many of these cars (mustangs)as we can in the states
