How do I get into the window assembly? The post that sticks out on the for the winodw roller handle was striped but I had to buy half of the window track and other stuff but how do I get into the door so I can replace what I need?

You could do it how my dad did it, dis assemble everything inside the door pull it all out and risk damage, or buy the door tool and then weld (i think???) back together. That would be the easistest and best choice, when it comes time to redo my doors I'm going to purchase this tool to avoid damaging the window.

Is your question how do you get into the door to get to the window assembly mechanism? Take the interior door panel off. Then reach through the holes in the door shell to get to the pieces. Everything comes out through the openings. This below is for a 65 but yours will be similar.

Just finished removing the entire drivers side window, including vent. Not all that difficult, the hard part was putting it all back in and getting the alignment right.

I think we kinda skipped over the initial question. To get the door panel off, you have to use a phillips screwdriver to take off the arm rest. Then, using an Allen wrench, you take off the door handle and window crank. After those are removed, you use something wide and thin like a wide putty knife to carefully pry the outside edges of the door panel off. Once you get the door panel off, then refer back to James' illustration.
