Some quick advice before tomorrow, please!
Oh man, we stayed for five minutes! We showed up, hood was open, battery gone, tools sitting on the fender, etc... They finally got it started: it ran. The body was in pretty bad shape. $5600 would be a miracle for that thing. I seriously wouldn't pay more than $2500 for it. Anyway, my dad and I talked it over and again, I've settled on getting what I want. If that takes $10k for a nearly perfect V8, then so be it. Thanks for the input guys. I'll try not to jump the gun next time. It's so hard though!
Just a couple of things I have learned from my searchings. Don't buy the first car you look at, spend your time when looking ( take it for a long drive, and get it on a lift if you can) and what someone is asking for a car and what they will take are two different things. Like these other guys said, dont settle, get what you want. There are plenty of Mustangs for sale out there. Good luck!
took me 6 months to find my 68 coupe that wasnt a rust bucket i paid 3k for it only thing it really needed was a wash wax and a carb save your money and wait youll find the one you want and can afford
