Fixable?
Hey guys i'm thinking about buying this 67 mustang fasback with front end damage too the driver side engine bay theshock tower has also been pushed back a little bit abouthow much should the average shop charge to fix this? the rest of the car is all there and in great condition. About how much do you think itsworth in this condition to? i beleive this car had been restored and then was hit while it was parked. hes selling it with out he engine and trans
Then you had better get it for a song, because the whole left front side has to be replaced. Big money. And since it has no motor or tranny, it is what we used to call totaled. Advice from this old man is to run, not walk away. There is no telling what damage was done to the frame rails, etc. But, if you a brave soul, and have a lot of experience in automobile body restoration with all the welding and such tools and experiencwe, then if you can get it for a song.......go for it.
I mostly agree, but seeing that it is a 67' FB (which seems to be the most desirable model) I might have a body/frame man look at it. Affordable shells in most models are readily available but maybe not for a 67' FB.
Edit: Anyone know if the front clip off any 67/68 will fit on this car?

you could clip literally drill out all the spot welds off of the frame rails etc and take a coupe front end then weld it all back together
althought that car would be a good canidate for a full front end conversion using a mustang 2 setup since is frugged up already
