Default Aluminum Radiator question

Has anyone used this brand of radiator? They look like a good product for a decent price, didn't know if anyone had any feedback? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/69-73...8942QQtcZphoto

This is another I was looking at. I know the caps are in the wrong place, but the company said they could put the right ones on for a direct swap. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/19-X-...0526QQtcZphoto

They have a decent return policy. Hey, who knows? You may have found the next Griffin rad well worth the money.

E-Bay scares me anymore. Sum380425 is 1 5/8" taller but sales for $169, unless you spend the money for a bolt in, you will have to make some mods to mount this. Oh yeh, 90 day return, no questions ask. Bolt ins are 600 to 900. Not worth it to me.

I'm running an AFCO generic aluminum in my 65. They come in various sizes and are all priced under 200 from whomever you source. So far (4 years), it's done very well and I would recommend.

My question about aluminum is WHY??? Copper transfers heat better, costs less, and CAN be repaired. I know aluminum is lighter but we are talking street cars...right? I ran copper on a BOSS-302 with roller cam, rockers, dual in-line carbs and on a 305 Gurney-Weslake with Weber carbs and both those motors turned past 8000 rpm with no problems. So why not save the money and potential troubles of the aluminum and put that extra money in some other part that will show some sort of performance gain?

Just a thought.

Or you could buy a Griffin with the hidden Nitrous bottle in the fake side tank away from the filler neck and run the line through the upper radiator hose to the sprayers under the manifold. Holds enough for 1 pass on the last lap or 1 pass down the street-race strip!

You need a 3 or 4 row copper to equil the cooling capicity of a aluminum 2 row given the same surface area. Copper or brasswill do better with electricity, but not heat. The latter sounds like a better idea.
