Default power steering Pulley

OK, I got a new pump and and new pulley.

Does anyone have any suggestions for pressing the pulley on the pump?

I am trying to use the bolt and nut, style "tool", but it is not going on very easy. I feel that I will break the bolt, the pump or myself if I continue. There has got to be an easier way.

Default RE: power steering Pulley

if you can find a snap on or matco tool dealer ( ask your local service shop for thier number) they sell a pulley removal and install tool kit that works great it's about $70.00 but well worth it to have in your tool box it's based on the bolt and nut tool but has bearings for smooth pressing. and adapter to fitt any car or style.
if you don't want to keep the tool use it and sell it on ebay.
