Keep the six?
im 18 and before i started a rebuild on my 351 cleveland
that mother ****er will make you **** your pants. it was a complete beast with stock fomoco parts and it made my dads 06 gt look like a child holding a balloon
i would go for the cleveland, my dads first mustang had a 4v cleveland, and my grandpa has a 70 torino at one point with a cleveland
its a great engine, and in lower rpms, there indestructable

I'd say if you're going to replacing brakes, suspension and all that, might as well put in a V8
Im not worried about finding the motor I want since I kind of lucked out when I met this guy I bought the 68 off of, he has a 351 cleveland with...im not sure what tranny but its auto, 2 302's with a c4 tranny, 200 I6 with a c4, and then the motor in the car I bought. Its just I dont want to go and get the engine and then try to put it in and have to dramatically cut the car apart and change every single thing...since thats pretty far over m y head. I mean body work welding etc no prob... completely changing the suspension, front end, rear end, motor mounts....[&:] Are there any types of articles on a I6 to a 351 swap? that anyone knows of I want a rough idea of whats gotta be changed.
check the *** theres a few links for the inline 6 to a v8 swap the v8 cars bad bigger brakes stiffer springs to hold the extra weight and a 8 inch rear the inline 6 car had a 7 inch rear end a 351 will bolt in once you change the mounts which bolt in. and since the car is half way together its up to you id go with the 351
