I'll try to scan the reciepts of my build in 2001. ( mind you, this is before I owned the car ).

it's indeed 0.60 over w/ a 302 kit. I don't flog it every time I take it out, however, I do get aggressive and often run it past 100 mph from a dead stop. I also have taken it on several long trips ( more than 200 miles ) and have never once had an issue.

I'd guess the build has 20k miles on it now and I'm going to pull the heads this spring and see what I can find. Mainly pulling the heads because I want to get the headers out and sandblast / paint them. I may even pull the whole drive train and redo the engine bay, but I know for sure I will pull the heads to see if there's any issues I need to be aware of.

wow! Great feedback guys, thanks. at the very least looking at all these replys, not only are there knowledgeable people replying that it will be okay, but some have first hand proof. I feel better, but will be buying an aluminum radiator before the car comes back.....this whole subject ruined my day yesterday.

ah hell even if it wasn't okay and you needed a new engine, I'd just drive it till it broke!

yeah, that's a good point but I'm putting all sorts of $$$ into this one now! It better serve well for at least a few years. The good news is that they are not boring it out any more, it is staying at is current bore which has been fine for me to this point, and I've taken it on some long trips....

like I said, the crap you're putting on now is good, so if the engine does break, and doesn't break any of your new stuff, how much are you out anyway??
