Hi there, does anyone know how to adjust the convertible top to move forward .The top is about 1 to1.5 inches from the front header when fully extended.,(top was fine untill I replaced the 5 top gaskets 4 sides 1 header). Not sure what happened, bought the proper adjustment book ,but it just isn't clear to me witch bolts to adjust to move the top foreward.Any help would be appreciated.THANKS Roland.

Is it still 1" away when tight? Mine is a good 1-2" away until I crank it down w/ the levers.

I replaced the top on my brother's '66 vert years ago (what a PITA). Anyway, I think what I had to do was leave it out in the sun for a bit until it loosened up a bit and could get it close enough to clamp it. If yours is too out of whack you may have to remove the interior quarter trim panels and you'll see the adjustment bolts. Do you have a factory service manual? It is detailed in there.

Good luck!
