Allow me to give you some advice from an old man. Take your carb to the Auto zone or most any other parts place and trade it in on a rebuilt carb. Take the rebuilt on home, install it and be back up and running in a very short time. The reason I say this, is because you know nothing about rebuilding carbs, and most likely you will not get it adjusted properly, which will cause you even more heart ache. Start learning how to rebuild carbs with maybe a lawn mower carb to understand the basics first. Just my .02 cents. Now, can I have .98 cents in change?

I agree. But how much money does that cost. I am 16 and in school. I don't exactly have the big dollars rolling in yet.

Yeah, those Holley's are pretty expensive. Here's a good step by step guide.

I have to agree with soaring on this one. A rebuilt carb will run about 175-200+. It is easier than rebuilding, though. If it's just leaking from the base gasket, just remove it and replace that. Holley is known for being hard to adjust after a rebuild. The book stated is a good one though.

there are new rebuilt hooleys on e-bay...and thier rebuilt from holley ...I'd say around 125.00 for a nice nicle plated one.....the kit for the 600 is like 25.00.....they are really simple to rebuild......the holly handbook can help you guide it......and I'll say something else I'm glad to see a 16 yr old wanting to learn instead of taking it to the shop or just buy a new one..that's what's wrong with people today

Most older Holleys like to leak from the end bowls and the metering block or plate if you have one. Just go to Pep Boys or someplace and get the gaskets, save a load of $$$$$$$$

to cure the leaks on holleys use the blue gaskets.....yes they are high but will keep your nice alum intake clean
