i have some very good pics but is says the file is too large, but i found out that my line is not going to the same place on the carb as yours is going, i have mine going directly to the choke, but i do see the place on mine where yours goes. so either im supposed to have two and one of mine is missing or mine is just in the wrong place. i will try to fix the pics so they will be small enough to upload
If yours is a hard line that goes all the way to the choke mechanism, then all you need to do to get your choke working is to get that hooked up. The other one hooks up to the bottom plate of the top of the carb and is a small amount of vacuum that doesn't make much difference in how the car warms up. Get that tube going from the manifold to the round black choke adjustment mechanism, and we can get your choke to working.
i am probably bothering the crap out of you with all of my questions but i have one more question. ok so i understand that i need to hook u p that line to the manifold. how exactly does it hook up to it? a special plug?
I've already given you the best shot of where the tube goes into the manifold as I can. The tube goes into a hole in the manifold and draws the heat from the manifold to send that heat to the choke mechanism to open up thechoke butterfly as the engine heats up. Here it is again.

that was of great info to me! they said they usually break at the manifold, exactly like mine did! well i have one question. with the tubing broken off will this cause my car not to start overall? because that is currently my problem. and can you not fabricate your own tubing? and if so what will have to be done.
A broken choke stove tube shouldn't really cause your car not to start, but it could keep your choke from operating properly. I've read that if you have run your car without the clean air tube it could cause dirt and other debris to get in the actual choke housing which could cause it to bind up or wear out. What is your car *not* doing?
