Default problem, need help!!

Guys, i drove my car on Tuesday with no problems what so ever. On Tuesday afternoon i decide to change all radiator hoses and to change out the thermostat. While i was doing that, my buddy was wiring up the electric choke. (black wire grounded to fire wall and hot wire tapped into red wire in the msd-6al box) I finish up the hose work yesterday afternoon and i go to crank the motor and the car starts BUT the starter stays engaged!!! All i hear is a bunch of grinding!!! It sound just like when a car is already on and then you turn the key to start again but only that noise stays on while the car is on. So, i think its the starter. I change out solenoids first and the problem is still there. I then install a new starter and the problem is still there!!!!! What can it be? I have had no problems with the car but now this. It was working fine and now its not. All help is appreciated!!!

Thanks!!
Joe

Hi Roots. Unplug both the small wires from the solenoid sticking out the front, and try it again. It sounds like you may have gotten 12v hot somehow plumbed into the ignition input to the solenoid. Let us know!
