Default Lowered Mustang

I have lowered my hardtop 70 recently and I am curious as to whether I need to add the negative wedge kit to my upper control arms. I did the Shelby Drop along with 620# 1" lowered springs and in addition removed 3/4 coil which dropped the car approximately 3.5".....any thoughts??

Do you have any better pics? Dropping 3.5" seems like a lot. I would like to see what that looks like.

Before I lowered the car the front was 15-3/4" and the rear was 15-3/8". Nowthe front is 12-5/8" and the rear is 14-3/8" so the front ws actually droped about 3" rather than 3-1/2". This car was very high when I started. I am having problems posting better pictures....not sure I doing it right. The files seem to be too large.

The negative wedge kit is only needed when the upper control arm is lowered more than 1".
In you case, you do not need it.

I only lowered the control arm 1" but I wanted to make sure the additional spring drop was not putting the ball joints in a bind. Thanks for the info.

12 and 5/8 inches?? Where are you taking yourmeasurements at? The usual place to make the front end height measurement is at the center of the wheel well to the ground. If its at the topof the wheel well to the ground, you gotta have tire sticking up through the top of the fender. I lowered our '65 with the Shelby drop and trimmed off 1/2 coil and got about a 2 inch drop at the wheel well but it turned out to be too much, tires rubbing on the fender lips in turns. We replaced the top coil spring isolator, added a couple of adjustable coil spreaders and got it back up to just below the top of the tire. The ground to wheel well measures right at 24 inches now, and we got the nose down stance that we were looking for.

I took the measurement from the center of the hub up to the bottom of the fender.
