I've considered both the 331 and 347. Cuz you desire more streetability, go with a 331. I understand from multiple speed shops, they are much more reliable and gas pump friendly. crate is nice, but try using PAW, and build it yourself using your 289. The money you'd save will easily buy youextras. Machine work is minimal, so if you have the conf, just do it.

If you want MPG, buy a 5.0 from a bone yard and bolt it in.

Hey Soaring, Is Osan AB still the crazy place it was years ago. Did two tours. Other then the PI, it was a great secret.
I don't know about the base itself. The wife and I would get a MAC flight from Yokota, Japan and fly into Osan, then immediately go out the front gate for shopping. We bought a ton of clothes, especially leather goods for next to nothing.

GT-40 Crate Motor from Mustangs Unlimited $ 3,699.64 345 Ponies. Will bolt right in.You will need a front sump oil pan/relocate the oil dipstick. What a country. It would cost you more than that just to rebuild the 289 with any snotts.
