Default Scat Rally Seats

Does anybody have Scat Rally Series 1000 seats in their car, I was thinking about buying some from summit and putting them in my 66. Do they fit well and do they match the backseat?

Yeah they're kinda expensive, but I want to upgrade over the original seats. I know you can put sn95 seats in the car but they're hard to get a hold of in good condition. Anyother seat that would look decent, not racing seats, in the car with a head rest?

These are the same seats I am looking to put into my 67 when the time comes. (It's coming quickly.) There are several threads on here with pictures if you run a search. Seems to be a 50-50 run of folks with late model seats and those with one of the scat seats. Reenmachine has a few pictures of them that have been reupholstered in vinyl to match the stock interior on his website. (Look at the blue fast-back project pics.) Best price I could find to have them redone to match my stock interior colors and stitching was at a place that does boat interiors, and they had a million colors to choose from to match them. Good luck!

I have them in the 67 and have a set for the 65 and will install them when i do the restoration. I made my own mounts and moved them back about 3". At 6'2" I fit better but it renders the back seat useless. There is no comparison in comfortto the old seats. I think Mustang's Plus has a rear seat cover to match. I also think they have brackets that will allow you to bolt them in to the old cars. They will spoil you once you get them.

I may spring for them if I have extra money left over from the swap, they do look worth it over the stock seats.

yes mustang plus does have the rears that match. However with my plans on a coustom interior, I'm taking the procars (after I get them) to a marine shop. You usually get way better prices than the auto places for interior stuff!

You can buy matching rears directly form procar http://www.procarbyscat.com. I placed an order a couple weeks ago and they are on back order. They said that it should be in in the next week or two. It saved my $20 over mustangs plus and mustangs plus said they have been on back order for over a year. Hopefully I will get them cheaper and faster by going direct. I only have the seats resting in place now (sliders attached to seats just not bolted in) but you will sit noticably higher than the originals. Much more comfortable though.
